Nike Unveils 50-Piece Set for Team USA Athletes at 2024 Paris Olympics
Team USA is dressed for success, thanks to Nike.
With the Summer Olympics kicking off in Paris on July 26, Nike has unveiled the contents of their "Nike Athlete Bag" being given to each member of Team USA for the Games.
The exclusive swag bag comes with 50 pieces of apparel, footwear and accessories, including "interview wear" and "village wear" intended to keep Team USA athletes comfortable and stylish in the fashion capital of the world.
Nike is gifting the Elite EasyOn backpack, Nike branded sports bras, tank tops, T-shirts, hoodies, lightweight jackets, shorts, pants and hats to their athletes.
For footwear, they'll receive the Nike Air Max DN, Nike Pegasus EasyOn, Nike Air Max 1 and Nike Calm slides.
In a press release, Nike said the Medal Ceremony collection is "designed for all abilities, genders and body types."
The selection of curated pieces is meant to "prioritize comfort and variety" so that athletes from Team USA "can create their own unique look and express themselves in style throughout the summer," the brand said.
Breaking athlete Sunny Choi said she "had the opportunity to debut" the medal ceremony collection at an event earlier this year.
"While it was designed to be worn during an incredibly important global sporting moment, I was comfortable and still felt very chic wearing it," Choi, 35, said in a statement.
For seated athletes and Team USA members with prosthetic legs, special considerations were made for added function and comfort. The customizations include a second pocket entry at the thigh, enhanced ventilation, a longer leg vent with a zipper for easy access and an articulated sleeve for improved range, the brand said in a release.
Also included in the collection are tapered pants and a full-zip jacket made from excess recycled materials, according to Nike.
